Terms of service

Plain-English summary

Use Billitron to quote, bill, file lien notices, and collect payments for legitimate construction work. Don't use it for fraud or money laundering. Pay your invoice on time. Free tier is best-effort. Paid tiers come with the SLAs in your order form.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you're agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to do so.

2. The service

Billitron provides software for subcontractor quoting, billing, lien-rights management, payment processing, and cash-flow forecasting. The service is documented at docs.billitron.com. Lien-rights filings and mechanic's liens (where offered) are facilitated through licensed partner counsel, not by Billitron itself.

3. Acceptable use

  • No fraud, money laundering, or other illegal activity.
  • No reverse engineering of our software.
  • No reselling the service or hosting it for third parties.
  • No bypassing rate limits or attempting to access tenants other than your own.

4. Fees

Subscription fees are as published at /pricing or as agreed in your order form. Payment-processing fees are pass-through at the rates published on the pricing page. Annual contracts auto-renew unless either party gives 30 days' written notice.

5. Lien filings & legal services

Billitron is not a law firm. Lien notices and mechanic's lien recordings are facilitated through licensed partner counsel in each state. We don't provide legal advice. For complex disputes, consult your own attorney.

6. Data & privacy

Your data is yours. Our processing of it is described in the privacy notice and the DPA.

7. Warranty disclaimer

Beyond any SLAs in your order form, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Liability

Our aggregate liability for any claim under these terms is capped at fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate for material uncured breach. On termination, you can export your data for 30 days; after that, we delete it (subject to legal retention obligations).

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, except where local consumer-protection law overrides.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are notified by email at least 30 days in advance.
