Billitron started inside a software stack we were building for a mid-market general contractor. While we worked on the GC's project-management modules, we kept watching their subcontractors struggle on the receiving end of the pay-app cycle: Excel workbooks, paper checks, lien deadlines tracked in a desk diary, retainage forgotten, forecasts based on the controller's gut.

The construction industry is the worst-paying industry in the developed world for small-and-mid-sized businesses. Subs carry the working-capital weight of the entire delivery chain on their lines of credit. The software layer for collecting that money either doesn't exist or charges per user — pricing the foreman, the PM, and the owner-operator out of the system that's supposed to help them.

Billitron is the platform we wished those subs already had.

What we believe

• Per-business pricing. Bring every PM, foreman, and back-office user onto the platform. Adoption is the whole point.
• One ledger, every workflow. Quote, pay-app, lien notice, payment, forecast — all on the same job and customer record.
• Construction-specific defaults. Retainage, pay-when-paid, AIA forms, lien rights — first-class. Not bolt-ons.
• No platform fee on payment processing. ACH and card pricing is at cost. We don't double-charge.
• Honest pricing. The price on the website is the price on the contract.
